It features a single selectable-band 802.11n radio that can operate on either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz band, supporting wireless data rates of up to 300Mbps. The WAP321 also includes Gigabit Ethernet connectivity and Power over Ethernet support, allowing network data and power to be delivered through a single Ethernet cable.

With Cisco Single Point Setup, multiple compatible Cisco Small Business access points can be managed together, making the WAP321 particularly suitable for businesses that need to expand wireless coverage across several rooms or areas.

When PoE is not available, the access point can also be powered using a compatible 12V DC Cisco power adapter, which was offered separately for the WAP321.
